LCA Cricket Coaching are delighted to have joined forces with the Dorset Cricket Board. LCA Cricket Coaching will be running a variety of coaching courses throughout the year offering children in the region an opportunity to further enhance their skills and rub shoulders with some of the finest players from the neighbouring counties. From Winter Academies right the way through to discipline specific Master classes, there will be 'something for everyone' in Dorset this coming year and beyond. The reasonably priced courses will be giving the DCB a stream of revenue to pump back into the development of the cricket in the area in an attempt to make the DCB one of the most successful minor county setups around.
“We are excited at the prospect of being involved in hosting these courses run by LCA Cricket Coaching and I would strongly urge the keen cricketers of all abilities (boys and girls) in our region to take a look at what is on offer to them as I feel they offer a fantastic additional opportunity to further develop and improve their ability. The coaches that are likely to be gracing Dorset with their presence in the future are all very highly qualified and have great experience in the world of professional cricket”, explained Keith Brewer, Cricket Development Director, Dorset Cricket Board.
The first of the LCA Cricket Coaching courses will take place at Hurn Cricket Centre on 22nd and 23rd June. These will be in the style of a master class with the bowling master class on the 22nd June and the batting master class on 23rd June. Due to the nature of the master class delivery, the age range can be quite diverse, catering for children (both boys and girls) aged between 11 and 16.
Head Coach of LCA Cricket Coaching and current Hampshire professional, David Balcombe spoke of the partnership, “this is something we have been trying to achieve for a while now and we thank Keith and the committee at the DCB for giving us this opportunity. We see the partnership as a stepping stone for cricketing success in the region and we are thoroughly looking forward to working with the array of talent that I know is out there. These are exciting times looking ahead to the potential that we can hopefully help bring out.”
