Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club

After the thrills and spills of Chipping Sodbury CC's 150th anniversary year in 2010, the Bristol based club are now looking forward in the hope of reaching further milestones. After another swashbuckling year the 1st XI narrowly missed promotion for the second year running in the Bristol & North Somerset League, also reaching the Gloucester Cup final at the County Ground narrowly losing the game against Premier 1 outfit Frocester. A couple of signings has boosted the clientale over the winter months which will strengthen the top order and just maybe be whats required to win the title.

Off the pitch 2010 saw us welcome various rep/touring sides, huge marquee events with famous guests and nude midnight sprints on the square. 2011 will probably be identical.

Other news is the club's new 3 lane outdoor net facility is now complete and will have immediate impact for all playing members as they can now increase 'net' time (and maybe reduce bar time?).
