Northwood Town.CC 1st team picked up a vital win as they beat Harpenden.CC by five wickets.
Skipper David Bushnell was the star of the show with a six wicket haul, conceding just 21 runs.
Kyle Lawrence (2-21) and Raj Kotecha picked up the other wickets as the visitors were dismissed for what looked a paltry 110.
Town made harder work of it than they would have hoped despite a solid opening stand between Raj Ahluwalia (17) and Akshay Loomba (12).
Lawrence with 43 was the main bat for Town and Phil Carter finally found some form with an unbeaten 21 asthe hosts claimed an early victory with five wickets in hand.
Northwood Town.CC 2nd team romped home by 10 wickets as they kept the pressure on for a promotion place.
Fielding first, the hosts had no answer for Sachin Dave (4-49) Neal Furmenger (3-27) and Minesh Vadgama (2-1) as they collapsed to 87.
In reply, Jim Cotton (44*) and Richard Robbins (35*) ensured the visitors eased home without loss.
Northwood Town 3rd team finished a tremendous weekend for Town with a remarkable 237 victory to seal second spot and promotion in their final league game.
Batting first, Rajul Patel opened with 51 but it was Sandip Thakrar (70) and Suvin Mekwan (104*) who stole the show with excellent knocks as the visitors wrackedup 273-3.
In reply the hosts were blown away with Mitesh Parmar (5-17) and Sumeet Khetia(3-16) wiping Hitchin for just 35.
