Cornwall are top of the Minor Counties Western Division after a comfortable 105-run victory over Cheshire.
Ian Tait finished with figures of 6-52 as Cheshire bowled Cornwall all-out for 184 batting first.
Sam Hockin bettered Tait taking 7-82 as Cheshire were unable to take advantage of Cornwall’s below part first innings score finishing on 168 all-out.
Taylor Williams finished on an unbeaten 125 as Cornwall reached 346 for 8 declared, leaving Cheshire a steep 367 runs for victory.
Tom Sharp took four wickets as Cheshire could only reach 257 all-out to hand the victory to Cornwall.
Dorset won their first game in the league this season against Shropshire, largely thanks to Chris Jones who certainly had a game to remember with the bat.
Jones hit 175 in the first innings, and was well supported by Aaron Williams who scored an unbeaten 124 to help Dorset reach a mammoth 401 for 4 declared.
Jono Whitney hit 110 in reply as Shropshire reached 330 for 7 in their 90 overs.
Jones then bettered his first innings score smashing 188 In 185 balls as Dorset finished on 322 all-out.
Jack Leach finished with figures of 4-50 to help Dorset dismiss Shropshire for 270, James Ralph’s 86 in as many balls was in vein for the visitors.
Wiltshire won their first league of the season with a comfortable 7-wicket victory over Wales Minor Counties.
Dion Holden hit 83 as Wales MC posted 275 all-out with Ashur Morrison taking 5 wickets.
Wiltshire captain Joe Breet scored 126 to help the visitors reach a healthy lead on 330 all-out in their first innings.
Morrison once again starred with the ball taking 6 wickets this time as Wales MC could only reach 173 all-out to leave 121 for victory.
Wiltshire comfortably reached the total in the 32nd over.
Herefordshire sit at the bottom of the Western Division after a comprehensive 107-run defeat to Oxfordshire.
Jonny Carter’s 77 helped Oxfordshire reach 210 all-out in their first innings with Chris Boroughs taking 4-57.
Chad Keegan took three wickets as Herefordshire stumbled to 100 all-out in reply.
Carter starred with the bat once again, this time hitting 106 as the visitors reached 287 all-out in their second innings.
Borough’s 101 could not prevent Herefordshire finishing on 290 all-out to hand the win the Oxfordshire.
An evenly contested match between Berkshire and Devon ended in the only draw in this round of Western Division fixtures.
4-59 from Christopher Bradley helped Devon restrict Berkshire to 187 all-out batting first.
James Burke and Josh Bees both his centuries to help Devon reach 354 for 6 off 90 overs and build a healthy lead.
Opener David Barnes hit back with 146 as Berkshire reached 411 for 7 in 158 overs to end the match as draw.
