Hartley Country Club.CC lost just one league game all season to successfully retain the Kent Premier League title.
James Hockley and Charlie Hemphrey were kick for Hartley with the bat throughout the season hitting 552 and 428 runs respectively.
It’s a season of double celebration for Hartley as the club also won the league’s Twenty20 competition with a 103-run victory over Sevenoaks Vine.CC in the final.
It’s Sevenoaks’s Fabien Cowdrey who finished top of the runs-scoring table for the league.
The 19-year old, who appeared for the Kent 2XI this year, scored just shy of 800 runs throughout the year at an impressive average of 66.
And it was another Sevenoaks player who finished top of the bowlers wicket-taking table for the league.
Seamer Tom Parsons took 36 wickets throughout the year, including an individual best of 7-26 against Bickley Park.CC in May.
It’s commiserations though for Canterbury.CC and Tunbridge Wells.CC who drop out the top flight after finishing in the bottom two places.
Bickley Park will spend another season in the premier league after narrowly avoiding relegation by just three points.
Whitstable.CC and Sibton Park.CC are the two clubs to take their place in the top flight next season and finishing 1st and 2nd respectively in Division One.
Both clubs fully deserve their chance in the premier league after both losing just two matches all season.
