Walsall Cricket Club lost just one game all season to secure their 5th Birmingham & District Premier League title in 15 years.
On the batting front, Christiaan Jonker and Tim Maxfield led the way for Walsall hitting 609 and 510 league runs respectively across the season.
Paul Byrne, Josh Bowker, Tom Freeman and Ben Freeman all took over 20 wickets throughout the season for Walsall to help the club win the league with relative ease finishing 34 points off 2nd place Himley.CC.
And it was Himley batsman Greg Wright who finished top of the league’s run-scoring table hitting 727 runs at an average of 45.
Wellington.CC and Leamington.CC are the two sides to be relegated from the Premier League, finishing the season with only three victories between them.
Barnt Green.CC’s Stephan Bevan finished the season with 42 wickets to finish top of the leagues wickets table with Berkswell.CC’s Babar Khan a close 2nd with 40 wickets.
Wombourne.CC finished as champions of Division One to secure a spot in the Premier League for the first time.
Walmley.CC join Wombourne in the top flight next season after fighting off competition from Dorridge.CC to finish in 2nd place.
Whitchurch.CC and Coventry & North Warwickshire.CC finished in the bottom two to drop out of Division One.
Needing a victory on the last day of the season, Coventry & North Warwickshire fell to 28-run defeat to promoted Walmley.
Brewood.CC and Barnards Green.CC, who finished in first and second place in Division Three last year end the Division Two season in the same places and continue their impressive progress up the League with promotion to Division One.
After an absence of eight years, Stourbridge.CC make a return to Division Two finishing in 2nd place of Division Three.
Oswestry.CC also move up a league after finishing as champions of Division Three.
